Barrel Cleaning & Storage Tablet
Barrel Cleaning & Storage Tablets are pre-measured doses of sulfites formulated to kill bacteria and inhibit the growth of yeast and microbes in the barrel. After you've used your barrel to an age a spirit, if you are not planning to age another spirit right away, it's advised that you use dissolve this tablet in water and add to your barrel to prevent bacterial growth between uses.
Sold individually.
- Directions: To store or clean your barrel between uses, dissolve tablets in a glass of water. Pour into barrel and top off with water. Leave solution in barrel a minimum of 24h for antimicrobial effect. 1 tablet is needed for each 1-3 litre barrel, and 2 tablets are needed for a 5 litre barrel. Empty and rinse barrel 3 times prior to next use.
